This unit is designed to treat water supplies for any commercial or industrial application where it is important to control bacteria or virus levels. It will provide treated water at any flow rate depending on your requirements and the configuration of the unit. The modular design allows the use of from six to twelve silver electrodes either alone or in conjunction with a hydrogen peroxide dosing pump to render the feed water bacteriostatic.
By varying the number of electrodes the dose of silver can be tailored to any application. Electrodes composed of other metals may be included for particular applications (e.g., copper for algae control). With silver electrodes the patented SilverSafe process introduces trace amounts of silver ions to sanitise the water. Normally this process takes a short period of time to kill all bacteria but with the addition of a controlled small dose of hydrogen peroxide the process is almost instantaneous.
The efficacy of the process is actually multiplied over a million times in the presence of hydrogen peroxide. Unique electronic reversing technology keeps the electrodes clean by periodically reversing the current through the electrodes. The unit is powered by a 12V DC power supply so electrical safety is assured.
