Double Under-Bench Unit

This Under-Bench Unit is designed for permanent under-bench installation in non-chlorinated areas. The unit includes under-sink plumbing connections, stop valve and a bench-top touch-tap. As with the single unit, this model can be connected to any sink outlet but is fitted with two filter housings. The first contains a carbon cartridge to remove most chemicals and organic contaminants (chlorine, herbicides, pesticides, trihalomethanes etc.), tastes, and odours. The second housing contains a very efficient ceramic filter for removal of cysts or amoebae along with algae that may be present in non-chlorinated dam, tank, creek or bore (ground) water. It will treat water at flow rates up to three litres per minute - about six seconds to fill a glass. It is installed under the kitchen bench and either connected to a bench top touch tap or connected to the existing cold-water tap. If the unit is connected to an existing sink tap rather than a touch-tap, all water will be treated and a flow rate of six litres per minute is possible.

Double Under-Bench

Once installed, the patented SilverSafe Power Pack using the Electro-cathodic Particle Dislodgement process introduces trace amounts of silver ions into the water to kill bacteria prior to filtration. This will also assist the unit to remain free of bacteria for extended periods when not being used. The unit will require new batteries and carbon cartridge about once a year. The ceramic filter may be scrubbed clean whenever the water flow falls to an inconvenient level.

Installation:½" fittings and bench-top touch-tap supplied.
Flow Rate:3 litres per minute using touch-tap. 6 seconds to fill a standard drinking glass (6 litres per minute if connected to existing tap).
SilverSafe Power Pack:Will treat approximately 4000 litres before battery replacement.
Battery powered unit Indicator lights will advise on correct operation and battery replacement status.
Simple battery replacement.
Totally exhausted power pack needs to be replaced after about 250,000 litres.
Residual silver in water: less than 0.01 mg per litre. (NHMRC (Australia) and EPA(USA) approved maximum 0.1 mg per litre).
Filtration Cartridges:Filter 1: Radial-flow activated-carbon 5 micron filter.
Filter 2: 0.4 micron ceramic sediment filter
Simple screw off housing (wrench supplied).
Servicing:With normal use SilverSafe power pack will require new alkaline batteries about once a year.
Activated-carbon filter will require replacement about once a year.
Ceramic filter may be scrubbed clean.

Applications and Benefits

The Under-Bench Unit is ideal where a permanent installation is required. The bench-top touch-tap offers added convenience.

Apart from the touch-tap, nothing is visible on the bench top. There is nothing to clutter the clean lines of today’s designer kitchens.
