Once installed, the patented SilverSafe Power Pack using the Electro-cathodic Particle Dislodgement process introduces trace amounts of silver ions into the water to kill bacteria prior to filtration. With the ceramic filter fitted, the water delivered will remain free of harmful bacteria for an extended period of time with correct storage. The SilverSafe power pack will require a new set of batteries and a new filter about once a year.
The Under-Bench Unit pictured has been installed below a kitchen bench using the bench-top touch tap.
| Installation: | ½" fittings and bench top touch tap supplied. |
| Flow Rate: | 3 litres per minute using touch tap. 6 seconds to fill a standard drinking glass (6 litres per minute if connected to existing tap). (Flow rate will vary for ceramic cartridge with particle build-up.) |
| SilverSafe Power Pack: | Will treat approximately 4000 litres before battery replacement. Battery powered unit Indicator lights will advise on correct operation and battery replacement status. Simple battery replacement. Totally exhausted power pack needs to be replaced after about 250,000 litres. Residual silver in water: less than 0.01 mg per litre. (NHMRC (Australia) and EPA(USA) approved maximum 0.1 mg per litre). |
| Filtration Cartridge: | Areas with treated water: Radial-flow activated-carbon 5 micron filter. Areas with non-treated water: 0.4 micron ceramic sediment filter Alternatively, a combined activated-carbon/1 micron ceramic filter may be used. Simple screw off housing (wrench supplied). |
| Servicing: | With normal use SilverSafe power pack will require new alkaline batteries and replacement cartridge about once a year. |
Apart from the touch-tap, nothing is visible on the bench top. There is nothing to clutter the clean lines of today’s designer kitchens.
The SilverSafe Electro-cathodic Particle Dislodgement process is patented world-wide* and continued research will ensure that Homepure maintains its leadership in water purification technology.
